Airway Management Enterprises, LLC

Airway Management Enterprises, LLC was originally conceived and founded by Richard P. Shockley, M.D. in 2008, with a vision of developing a dynamic hand-controlled intubating stylet which provides the same power of combining a FIBEROPTIC BRONCHOSCOPE with VIDEO-LARYNGOSCOPY to provide medical practitioners and first responders with a safer design for intubating the difficult airway. A stylet which could FLEX and RETROFLEX enables the Anesthesiologist to perform a difficult intubation which may have required the expertise of an additional Anesthesiologist to intubate the airway with a fiberoptic bronchoscope while providing VIDEO laryngoscopy. Both procedures cannot be performed simultaneously by a solo anesthesiologist in the middle of the night. Dr Shockley's vast experience with difficult airways while working with colleagues and alone at Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts lead to the idea of developing the RPiS.
